A teleprompter that knows what show it is in.
Free browser prompters scroll text. This one belongs to the event: scripts tied to speakers and sessions, an operator in control, and session timing on screen. Use it on its own, or wired into your showflow.
Every producer has watched a speaker squint at a scrolling browser tab someone set up ten minutes before doors. The EventBlok prompter is the version I always wanted on show day: the script lives with the speaker and the session, the operator drives it, and if the running order moves, nobody is renaming text files backstage.
Scripts are prepared in advance in a proper rich-text editor — or pasted in from the file the speechwriter sent — and attached to the right presenter and the right session. On the day, the operator opens the operator view, the presenter opens their link, and the two stay in sync.
Live delivery is the whole point. Pause when the applause runs long. Jump back when the speaker improvises. Ride the speed on the mouse wheel. Mirror the output for the glass. The session countdown sits alongside the script, so the speaker and the operator share the same clock.
From script to stage, without the panic.
- 01
Write or paste the script
Rich text, no formatting fights. Import what the speechwriter sent or draft it in place.
- 02
Attach it to the speaker and session
The script is part of the show — not a loose file named FINAL_v3_actually-final.txt.
- 03
Open it when it is time
Operator screen and presenter link, in sync. Rehearse with the same setup you will use live.
- 04
Drive it live
Pause, resume, jump back and forward, speed on the wheel, mirrored display, countdown in view.
Built for live delivery, not for reading at a desk.
Everything an operator and a presenter need on a real stage, in the same tool that runs the rest of the show.
Scripts tied to the show
Every script belongs to a speaker and a session. When the running order moves, the script moves with it.
Operator in control
Pause, resume, jump backward or forward, and adjust movement live — the presenter just reads.
Session countdown
Time remaining sits beside the script, so nobody discovers the overrun after it has happened.
Presenter links
Send the presenter a link. Their view and the operator view stay in sync — in the room or remote.
Mirrored display
One click flips the output for teleprompter glass. Wheel speed, font size, the controls you expect.
Voice-assisted following
Where enabled, the prompter listens and keeps the script in place when the speaker goes off-page.
The speaker reads. The operator drives. The script never gets lost.
The prompter is not a separate product bolted onto the side — it reads from the same event as the agenda and the showflow. The operator sees which session is live, which script is next and how long is left. Rehearsal runs use exactly the same setup as the show.
No more "can someone find Karen's speech" at 8:55. The script is where the show is.
- ✓Operator and presenter views, synchronised
- ✓Pause, jump, wheel speed, mirror — under pressure
- ✓Rehearsal with the same setup as the live run
Details that come from running real stages.
Twenty years of live shows put these in the first release, not on a wish list.
Standalone or connected
Run the prompter on its own for a single keynote, or connected to the showflow for the whole event.
Made for glass and confidence monitors
Mirrored output, big readable type and speed control that responds instantly to the wheel.
The clock is shared
The countdown the operator sees is the countdown the presenter sees. One clock, no arguments.
Scripts survive the reshuffle
Sessions move on show day. Scripts stay attached to their speaker and slot — nothing to re-send.
The rest of the first release.
Built by a producer, for the five teams who get it first.
I've produced live streams and global conferences for twenty years — Royal College of Art, JATO, Symantec, Digital Science, GE Healthcare, HPE — since the days streams ran on Flash servers. EventBlok is everything those years taught me, built into one tool. Five founding teams run their real events on it, tell me where it hurts, and lock lifetime 50% off. Direct line to me, no sales layer.
