MVP 1 / AI Import
In build Opening summer / autumn 2026

Import any spreadsheet. Get a full agenda, showflow and speaker pages back.

Drop in any CSV or Excel — any combination of rows and columns. EventBlok's AI reads it, identifies the sessions, checks the times, and proposes a complete agenda with a basic editable showflow per session. It also spots your speakers and builds their pages.

Every team's schedule lives in a different spreadsheet — different columns, merged cells, half a tab of notes. Instead of forcing you onto a template, EventBlok's AI reads whatever you have and turns it into a structured event.

You import any CSV or Excel, in any shape. The AI works out which rows are sessions, which columns are times, titles, rooms, tracks and speakers — even when they're inconsistent. It checks the timings, flags clashes and overruns, and proposes a full agenda you can edit.

In the same pass it adds a basic, editable showflow to each session, identifies the speakers, and creates a page for every one — pre-filled with placeholder bio text and images you can swap out. You go from a messy file to a working event in one step.

How it works

From blank page to a show-ready plan.

  1. 01

    Drop in your file

Any CSV or Excel — any columns, any order. No template to conform to, no re-formatting first.

  2. 02

    AI reads & maps it

It identifies sessions, times, rooms, tracks and speakers, and normalises inconsistent formats.

  3. 03

    Agenda + showflow proposed

A full multi-track agenda with checked times, plus a basic editable showflow per session.

  4. 04

    Speakers & pages built

Every speaker is spotted and given a page, pre-filled with placeholder bio and image.

What it does

A messy spreadsheet in. A working event out.

No template, no re-keying — the AI does the structuring.

Any shape of file

Any CSV / Excel, any combination of rows and columns. It adapts to your sheet, not the reverse.

Identifies sessions

Works out which rows are sessions and which columns are titles, times, rooms and tracks.

Checks the times

Normalises formats, sequences the day and flags overlaps and overruns before you do.

Basic editable showflow

Adds a starter running order to each session — cues you can refine, not a blank sheet.

Finds the speakers

Detects every speaker named in the file and creates a page for each automatically.

Placeholder content

Speaker pages arrive pre-filled with placeholder bio text and images, ready to replace.

Editing, not authoring

Everything lands as normal, editable EventBlok records.

The import doesn't dump a read-only copy — it creates real sessions, a real showflow and real speaker pages. From the first second you can rename, retime, drag and delete exactly as if you'd built it by hand.

So the AI saves you the data-entry days without taking the event out of your hands.

  • Imported sessions are standard, editable agenda items
  • Times checked and clashes flagged on the way in
  • Re-import or fix mappings without starting over
Speakers, handled

Every speaker in the sheet gets a page — with placeholders to replace.

The AI reads the speaker names out of your file, creates a page for each, and fills them with placeholder bio text and a placeholder image so nothing is empty.

You replace the placeholders at your own pace — and the same speakers flow straight into Speaker Prep and the showflow.

  • Speakers detected from any column layout
  • Pages auto-created with placeholder bio + image
  • Feeds Speaker Prep and per-session showflow
How we think about AI

Useful, honest, and never the last word.

The AI removes the data entry and the blank page — it doesn't pretend to know your event better than you do.

01

A head-start, not autopilot

The import proposes a structured draft; a human reviews and curates it. Nothing publishes itself.

02

Adapts to your file

No rigid template. The AI maps whatever columns you have, so you import what you already keep.

03

Everything editable

Sessions, showflow and speaker pages all arrive as normal records you can change freely.

04

Honest about gaps

It flags what it couldn't confidently map — overlaps, missing times — instead of guessing silently.

Honest scope
